Luke Evans would like to be the next James Bond and he said it loud and clear.
The 42-year-old Actor from The Hobbit revealed him interviewed by The Mirror, saying he feels very ready to seize the chance to become the new 007:
“I think I made my bones very well in the movies I made and had fun every second. [James Bond] is a phenomenal work, a phenomenal franchise, an incredible role. I have to say it’s a tough task for any actor to play the role after Daniel Craig. Nobody knows what’s going on,” he said.
“It’s a very secret process and it’s a wonderful role. I would take the opportunity on the fly, as many actors in my position would, so we will see. It will be an exciting time for casting for bond production and I wish anyone who gets it good luck. “
The next installment in the James Bond saga, No Time to Die, which will be released in cinemas on October 8, 2021, will be the last film in which Daniel Craig will play agent 007. For some time now, therefore, the total actors have officially opened up for the possible recast.
Chris Hemsworth had already run for the role in 2018, most recently Tom Holland and Regé-Jean Page. Some time ago the name of Harry Styles had also popped up.
