If you loved Queen of Chess and hope for a season 2, Anya Taylor-Joy just said here about the future of the series!
The actress, who played the protagonist Beth Harmon, was interviewed in the pages of Elle USA.
The paper writes that The Queen’s Gambitcreator and director Scott Frank: ” He doesn’t see a season 2. ” But, she adds, Anya Taylor-Joy doesn’t rule it out.
The 25-year-old’s statement is then reported: ” It would be stupid of me to go with: ‘There will never be a season 2’. And then maybe when I’m 40, Scott Frank will say to me, ‘How do you see this? Would you like to go back?’
She would also have an idea of what might be in Beth Harmon’s future: ” I hope she starts doing things for her enjoyment. I’d like Beth to pick up Benny and spend some time with him in Russia. Only the two of them who make intellectuals snobbish together, I hope it has a Bowie phase.
Benny Watts is the character played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster in The Queen of Chess, an actor you’ve also seen in Maze Runner and Game of Thrones.
At this point, you just have to hope that creator Scott Frank will listen to the idea of Anya Taylor-Joy for the next season of the series, and above all that he does not wait for him to turn 40!
