Mat Piscatella has published the list of the five best-selling games in the USA in the last ten years, with GTA 5 occupying the first position without too many mysteries.
Mat Piscatella of NPD Group has published on Twitter the list of the five best-selling games in the USA in the last ten years, with GTA 5 in the lead. More precisely, it is the five games that have appeared most often in the top 20 monthly best-selling games compiled by NPD.
As already said, in the first position we find without too many mysteries GTA V, appeared 74 times in the standings. He is literally followed by Minecraft, who has appeared 73 times. Long-distance follows Mario Kart 8, with 37 appearances (here it is not clear if the Switch and Wii U versions have been distinguished), then Rainbow Six: Siege with 34 appearances and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with 30 appearances. Piscatella has promised that with the December 2019 data of NPD, which will be released in January, more information will be given on the matter. For now, we must be satisfied.
- GTA V – 74
- Minecraft – 73
- Mario Kart 8 – 37
- Rainbow Six: Siege – 34
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 30
We still have 1 month to go in the '10s, but here are the titles with the most appearances on The NPD Group's US top 20 best-selling Video Games chart in the decade:
74 – GTAV
73 – Minecraft
37 – Mario Kart 8
34 – TCR6:S
30 – TLoZ:BoTW
Much more to come when Dec data is out.
