The 12 Days of Christmas in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Style

What Christmas is without our favorite superheroes? To remedy any lack of Marvel Cinematic Universe on holidays, one of Marvel’s Twitter accounts gives us a very particular version of the song The 12 Days of Christmas.

You have probably heard it in a multitude of Christmas films (the Hallmark Channel film “My Christmas Love”, for example, bases a fundamental part of the story on the famous song); maybe you know the version sung by Mickey, Minnie and the other Disney characters; or perhaps you already knew her; it may also be that you don’t know it at all … But I 12 Days of Christmas / 12 Days of Christmas is one of the most famous Christmas themed songs, the text of which takes up a nursery rhyme that consists of a series of verses added gradually and then repeated each time until the song is completed.

This is the original text (from the last to the first verse in order of recitation).

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Twelve drummers drumming
Eleven pipers piping
Ten lords a-leaping
Nine ladies dancing
Eight maids a-milking
Seven swans a-swimming
Six geese a-laying
Five golden rings
Four calling birds
Three french hens
Two turtle doves
And a partridge in a pear tree

And, coming to us, this song was chosen for Marvel UK & Ireland’s Christmas greetings, one of Marvel’s official Twitter accounts, who nicely replaced the “protagonist” of each verse with a superhero.

You can see the hilarious result in the video at the bottom of the news.

What did your true love for Christmas give you? Or should we say … What superhero?
