The satisfying Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has introduced some new knowledge in the Sagamore or less essential for the purposes of history, such as Jannah ( Naomi Ackie ) or Zorii Bliss ( Keri Russell ), but among these, there is also the small robot DO, so adorable that it even surpasses BB-8.
A megaphone as head and a wheel as body and the new Star Wars mascot is served. Together with engineer Babu Frik, DO immediately captured the hearts of fans much more than what Porg did in The Last Jedi, and this thanks to his sparse but fun lines of dialogue, his modulated voice and a light presence throughout the latest adventure of Rey, Finn, and Poe.
Someone, however, provided his voice to DO and we find out that JJ Abrams chose to cover this unexpected cameo within The Rise of Skywalker, impossible to actually locate due to the modulation of the intonation and timbre of the director’s voice. Perhaps the most hardcore fans will have succeeded.
It is, however, an interesting cameo because DO is basically a child mistreated and abandoned with serious problems of trust, so much so that his most iconic phrase is ” no, thank you”, pronounced when someone tries to touch him and approach him without his consent.
