Within a few weeks, the main filming of Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings will begin in Australia (and then move to Malta ) so as to respect the release date, set for February 2021.
Not much is known about the plot of the film, apart from the inclusion of the famous terrorist organization known as Ten Rings and a new Mandarin (Tony Leung), but now a new announcement for casting could potentially reveal some new details.
Scoop master Charles Murphy has in fact published the casting call for Shang-Chi which would confirm a rumor that has emerged in recent weeks: some time ago it was suggested that the protagonist Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) during his adventure would be forced to overcome a martial arts tournament to enter into the graces of the Mandarin and infiltrate its organization. Although it is far from a confirmation, that the production is looking for a “Ringside Announcer”, it seems to suggest that at least some sort of official fight with a ring in the film will be seen, even if at the moment it is impossible to establish if it is the aforementioned tournament or other.
What do you think about it? What are your expectations for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings? As usual, tell us in the comments.
