Thanos was immediately confirmed as one of the most iconic and recognizable villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and this also thanks to Josh Brolin’s effective design and excellent motion-capture performance. With the Infinity Saga now coming to an end, however, let’s discover one of the alternative looks of the character in Avengers: Infinity War.
As you can see at the bottom of the news, the concept artist Jerad S. Marantz published one of the first artworks of the character on Instagram: apart from the color of the skin that looks like a slightly darker violet than seen in the films, Thanos presents an armor not much different from that seen later in Avengers: Endgame.
Responding to a fan who asked him if they had ever considered making a yellow Thanos, Marantz revealed: “At some point, we tried to make it yellow with denim overalls. Unfortunately, the end result reminded too much of a minion and we had to go back to something more faithful to comics. “
Indeed, a Thanos in a minion version would perhaps not have benefited the dramatic side of the Titan exterminator of half the universe. What do you think about it? Does this alternative look seem more in line with the character? Let us know in the comments.
