Digital Market, Spent 9.5 Billion Dollars in November Across All Gaming Sectors


In November alone, the digital video game market produced revenues of some $ 9.5 billion across all sectors.

According to the analysis company SuperData, in November 2019, consumers spent the beauty of 9.5 billion dollars in digital purchases among all the gaming sectors. There is, therefore, talk of purchasing games, but also of subscriptions and microtransactions.

Adding consoles, PC and mobile, the growth of the digital sector was 7% compared to the same month of 2018, with the mobile market leading the trend, recording a + 20%.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was the game of the franchise that recorded the best digital launch ever, with 2.14 million copies sold, which is more than double those of Star Wars Battlefront II, released in 2017.

Only the free-to-play sector on consoles goes against the trend and continues its downward trend, recording a -41% compared to the same month last year, with only 84.7 million dollars in revenues, made largely (51%) from Fortnite, however also falling sharply.
