Based on some job announcements by Respawn Entertainment, there is the possibility that the team is already working on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2.
There is no official information yet but according to some rumors, there is the possibility that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is already in development at Respawn Entertainment.
The question emerges by analyzing some job announcements recently published by the development team, which concern three positions linked to a project that, apparently, has to do with Star Wars.
As reported by Gamesradar, it is a search for a senior character artist, a level designer, and a senior software engineer: in all three cases the project to which the subjects in question would be applied is not specified precisely, but it seems clear whether it is aStar Wars video game.
It could obviously also be another title, but considering the excellent response so far obtained by Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order it is very likely that the same team could be engaged on a sequel, considering also the standard modus operandi of a large company like Electronic Arts.
On the other hand, the rights to Star Wars are in the hands of Electronic Arts until 2023 and the times are relatively tight for starting very different projects. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has achieved the expected success and this should be enough to guarantee the existence of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, to be developed before the license agreements expire. Furthermore, there seems to be another Star Wars project being worked on at Motive Montreal, so the variety would still be secured.
