Capcom has made the new trademark registration for a large number of titles belonging to its classic catalog, which emerge after the Dino Crisis and Darkstalkers.
Capcom is making mass registrations of its trademarks, for reasons still unknown but with references to games of great interest such as Mega Man Legends, Breath of Fire, Power Stone, and others.
Everything started with the signaling Dino Crisis and Darkstalkers, for which Capcom had filed new trademarks in recent days, but in the meantime, several other titles have emerged that have received similar treatment by the Japanese company.
Thus, among the various newly registered titles there are several classics known belonging to the past catalog of Capcom and such a wide maneuver, if on the one hand, it opens up further possibilities, on the other, it seems to highlight how it is simply a precautionary move to defend one’s own interests on brands registered in the past.
In short, these trademark registrations correspond to a possible return to the market of the games in question, as was assumed for Dino Crisis, who has now obtained a fixed space in the rumors. In any case, the question obviously demonstrates a certain interest in Capcom in maintaining control over the brands in question.
So let’s see the titles for which Capcom’s trademarks have been recently renewed:
- Bionic Commando
- Breath of Fire
- Makaimura Gaiden (Ghosts’ n Goblins)
- Moero! Justice Gakuen (Project Justice)
- Power Stone
- Rockman (Mega Man)
- Rockman DASH (Mega Man Legends)
- Shiritsu Jasutisu Gakuen (Rival Schools)
- Strider Hiryu (Strider)
- Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers 3)
