Death Stranding Sold Less Than Days Gone in the UK

Death Stranding is finally available and in UK physical stores recorded a debut below what Days Gone has won.

Hideo Kojima’s new game, the first of his Kojima Productions, sold 36% fewer units than Days Gone and thus became the second-best debut for a new intellectual property in 2019.

This has allowed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to stay first and the numbers indicate that it is selling 26% more than Black Ops IIII sold in the same period in their respective releases.

Need for Speed: Heat was another major debut of the week and was fifth, but it sold 41% fewer physical units than Need for Speed: Payback, released in 2017.

Fortnite: Darkfire Bundle and Mario & Sonic At The Tokyo Olympic Games have also landed a top 10 spot in UK physical stores and out of the top 10 comes a totally unexpected name.

Just Dance 2020 for Wii is the fifteenth best-selling game in UK physical stores, an amazing installment that shows how popular this series remains,

  1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
  2. Death stranding
  3. FIFA 20
  4. Luigi’s Mansion 3
  5. Need for Speed: Heat
  6. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
  7. Fortnite: Darkfire Bundle
  8. Mario & Sonic At The Tokyo Olympic Games 2020
  9. Minecraft
  10. Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
