Funcom has finally announced the release date of Moons of Madness, a promising horror adventure in Lovecraftian hues set on Mars.
Moons of Madness will be published on PC on October 22, 2019, while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will have to wait a few more months, until January 21st, 2020. To celebrate the announcement, the developers have published the trailer visible at the beginning of the news. Good vision!
The protagonist of the adventure – set in the same narrative universe as Secret World – is Shane Newehart, a technician assigned to the Trailblazer Alfa research outpost. Its security level is too low, so it does not know the real reasons that led Orochi scientists to build it: the truth is that a mysterious signal has been received that deserves to be studied carefully. One day, while Shane waits for the shuttle to arrive with a team of substitute technicians, the machinery goes down, the greenhouse fills with a strange fog and a series of strange visions begin … what’s going on? Reality or madness?
The boys of Funcom have built the Martian base with plausible elements, making it as realistic as possible. The progression of the adventure in first-person involves overcoming a series of obstacles through the use of computers, electrical systems, rover, solar panels and more.
