Gears 5

Microsoft has updated the information on the system requirements of Gears 5 in the PC version, revealing that even on Steam you will need to log in with your Xbox LIVE profile.

Gears 5 is undoubtedly one of the protagonists of Gamescom 2019, and after showing the campaign and the Horde Microsoft has seen fit to update the system requirements for the PC version of the game. 

It doesn’t change much compared to the requirements of Gears 5 published a few weeks ago, but information about the ideal configuration has been added, which can make use of an extra high-resolution texture pack. 

In addition to this, Microsoft has also announced that users who purchase Gears 5 on Steam will still be required to use an Xbox LIVE profile and to log in to support cross-play with Windows 10 and Xbox One versions.

  • Processor: Intel Core i3 Skylake, AMD FX 6000 series
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or 1050, AMD Radeon R9 280 or RX 560
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM
  • Hard disk: 80 GB of space required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 with May 2019 update

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 Skylake, AMD Ryzen 3
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or 1660 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 570 or RX 5700
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM
  • Hard disk: 80 GB of space required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 with May 2019 update

Gears 5 – Ideal Requirements

  • Processor: Intel Core i7 Skylake, AMD Ryzen 7
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, AMD Radeon 7
  • Memory: 16 GB of RAM
  • Hard disk: SSD with 100 GB of space required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 with May 2019 update
