According to data released by Mat Piscatella of NPD Group, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the best-selling chapter in the series in North America.
Lastly, the record-breaking result on the market also corresponds to the critical success, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which in these days is confirmed as the most sold chapter in the US.
The information is reported by Mat Piscatella, NPD Group market analyst, as we can see from the Twitter message at the bottom of the news. In addition to reporting that Nintendo Switch was the most sold console in the US in July and during 2019, we come to know that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the best-selling Zelda ever in North America, beating even Twilight Princess.
It may be interesting, at this point, to see the ranking of the best-selling Zeldas of all time, even if there are no precise sales figures linked to the scheme reported by Piscatella, beyond the positions reached by the various chapters:
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
- Link’s Crossbow Training
Not sure how I missed it, but The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild became the best-selling Zelda game some time ago. Here are the top 5 best-selling Zelda property games in the U.S. life to date. pic.twitter.com/FBVozDoPxB
